Edit scene JSON

Edit objects, materials, lights and camera. Applying a scene renders it; export a JSON file to keep changes.

About this adaptation & supported features

Based on SharpRay, © 2004 Riley T. Perry — Chillers of Entropy. JavaScript adaptation of the sphere intersection, closest-hit world traversal, pinhole camera, Phong lighting, checkerboard, recursive reflection and Snell refraction logic. Seven adapted original scenes preserve their source geometry; framing and shading may differ. Each scene has a provenance note above the render. Six new compositions join the three browser favourites.

Includes spheres, ellipsoids, planes, boxes, triangles, discs and open cylinders; point/directional lights; checker, marble and wood textures. New browser conveniences include orbit controls, PNG export and JSON scenes. Noise textures and glass Fresnel blending are new approximations. This is a core adaptation, not a complete port: legacy mesh/PLY loading, torus quartics, transformed instances, image textures and the full original scene catalogue are not included. Glass casts opaque shadows; no caustics or global illumination.
